OrCam Partners with Sight and Sound Technology to Expand UK Accessibility of Breakthrough Assistive Technology Device

OrCam Technologies, the artificial vision innovator for people who are blind, visually impaired, have a reading disability or other conditions, announces a partnership with leading assistive technology provider Sight and Sound Technology for increased distribution of OrCam’s wearable assistive technology device throughout the United Kingdom.

OrCam’s expanded activity in the UK with Sight and Sound Technology enhances distribution of the OrCam MyEye, breakthrough artificial vision technology – built into a miniature smart camera which sits on the wearer’s eyeglasses frame – which converts visual information into the spoken word.  OrCam reads any printed text, on any surface, including newspapers, books, computer screens, restaurant menus, labels on supermarket products, and street signs, instantly relaying it to the user through a built-in mini speaker.  The functionality of the OrCam MyEye device also recognises stored faces of individuals as well as identifies consumer products.
